Bouygues selects Sierra AirCard for 3G launch Bouygues Telecom has selected Sierra Wireless’ AirCard 880E ExpressCard to support its 3G network launch in France. The AirCard 880E is now available through Bouygues Telecom’s business sales channels, and offers connectivity to the newly-announced network, supporting transmission speeds of up to 7.2Mbps (downlink) and 2Mbps (uplink), as well as offering worldwide roaming, with support for tri-band HSPA/UMTS (850/1900/2100MHz) and quad-band EDGE/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900MHz) systems.
